Letter From Lew - February 2022

Based on a lot of the recent media coverage, you might be excused for thinking that the use of technology in agriculture is something very new and the domain of black t-shirt wearing technologists fresh from university. There is certainly more buzz than ever around the topic of ‘Agtech’, making it a very hot topic for investors.

Trimble, through Spectra Precision, has been involved in bringing technological advancements to agriculture since the late 1960s. 

Traditionally, Trimble has taken a light approach to marketing, opting for the success of their products to speak for themselves.

However, with the growing number of people vying for the attention of farmers, Trimble has decided to invest more time, energy, and effort into ensuring that they remain heard in the sea of brands. 

As such, Trimble Agriculture has recently launched a new brand positioning - "Easier Farming with Precision", focusing on the everyday challenges that farmers face.

The main theme behind the campaign highlights the different aspects of farming and the challenges that ensue, but while “farming isn’t easy, precision can be” – with Trimble’s extensive precision agriculture portfolio, of course. 

With this new message, Trimble is looking to elevate their brand perception and remind farmers that they offer more than guidance solutions; instead demonstrating how they provide farmers with a range of state-of-the-art equipment and solutions for various applications and crop types. 

In the coming weeks and months, we encourage you to keep an eye out for Trimble on Spotify and Pandora, YouTube, social media, and TV streaming platforms.
