Letter From Lew - August 2022

On The Road Again - A Month In Review

Field days and expos play an important role in allowing us to support our customers and the ag industry as a whole. After a long period of no events, we are proud to be attending field days across Australia once again.

These events also enable us to continually hone our skills and knowledge of the agriculture industry. We’re constantly looking to learn about innovation and emerging agtech, and this month was no exception.

Many of the Vantage team spent August on the road talking to customers, dealers and suppliers across QLD, NSW and WA, as well as the USA in Golden, Colorado and Aspen.

Here’s a recap of where we’ve been:

Goldens & Aspen, US

Michael from Vantage BMS Townsville attended the Trimble dealer conference, Ag Connections, in Golden, Colorado where Vantage BMS were awarded 'Trimble Positioning Services Dealer Of The Year 2021-22, Asia Pacific'. He was also given the opportunity to attend a select meeting in Aspen to spend one-on-one time with Trimble CEO, Robert Painter, and other senior management leaders to discuss business partnerships.

Gold Coast, QLD

Mark and Gerard of Vantage BMS Brisbane supported our suppliers Trimble Agriculture and MagrowTec at this year’s 2022 Australian Cotton Conference on the Gold Coast. The team took away many insights into the future of innovation and automation in the Australian cotton industry. We’re excited for the future of Australian cotton and continue to improve our services and offerings.

Ayr, QLD

We were also happy to host a number of Trimble Agriculture water management Product Managers in the Ayr office to discuss the future of Water Management in Australia and meet with some of our customers. As a special treat, we accompanied them to a North Queensland Cowboys game, where the Cowboys did not disappoint, winning 48-4!

Gunnedah, NSW

Vantage’s Paul, Jon and other team members travelled down to Australia’s biggest agricultural field day, AgQuip, where they demonstrated our landforming solutions from Trimble, OptiSurface and Spectra Precision Lasers. Precision water management has been a major topic in these regions following the major weather events and flooding, so we’re glad to assist farmers via precision solutions and be a part of the conversation.

Mingenew, WA

The Vantage WA team attended the Mingenew Midwest Expo to discuss the extensive agricultural and construction services we offer. The team met with many interesting customers and saw many familiar faces.

Dowerin, WA

Two weeks after Mingenew, the team was back on the road to attend Western Australia’s biggest field days, the Dowerin Field Days. The 2-day agricultural event attracts around 700 exhibitors to highlight and showcase agricultural trends, products and services. Vantage WA showcased many of the precision ag technologies we have from Trimble Agriculture and MagrowTec, as well as Vantage’s Data Collection services.

Mackay, QLD

The Vantage BMS team attended the Mackay AG Trade Expo, an annual two-day agricultural field day to showcase ag technologies across Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday regions. The team discussed precision agriculture solutions for the sugarcane industry, as well as state-of-the-art irrigation and drainage solutions and more.

So, where to next?

Thank you to everyone who came and spoke to our team at these events. We are very grateful for the support you give us and look forward to seeing you all in the future.
